How to add video calls to your customer service

By the FaceWithMe team · Updated 27 September 2026
Short answer

Start small. Pick one type of call where seeing helps, like damage, setup or ID checks. Give a few agents FaceWithMe, decide if you will record, write a short script, and compare results after a month.

1. Pick the right calls

Video helps most when the customer has to show something: a broken product, a document, a home, a car. Start there.

2. Set up your agents

Each agent gets a seat. There is nothing to install: FaceWithMe runs in the browser.

3. Decide on recording

Turn recording on only if you need it, and connect your own storage. See recording under GDPR.

4. Write a short script

“I’m going to send you a link by text. When you tap it, your browser will ask to use your camera. Please say yes, and I’ll see you in a second.”

5. Measure

Compare first-call fixes, site visits saved and customer ratings before and after.
